ABOUT
Key Visual: Marc Perino
Born in 1975, my childhood was shaped by the great films of directors like Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis, Tony Scott, and Miloš Forman. It was the era of Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Star Wars, The Matrix, and Amadeus — movies that sparked my imagination and ignited a lifelong love for cinema.
When Forrest Gump hit theaters in 1994, I went to see it seven times. The big screen was pure magic to me — and I knew I wanted to be part of that world myself. By the age of twelve, I was already making my own short films, winning early awards, and realizing that directing was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
After a somewhat bumpy journey through high school, I was fortunate enough to be accepted into the prestigious Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg — a dream come true. There, I learned the craft of filmmaking from the ground up and developed my own creative voice.
Since graduating in 2005, I’ve been on a remarkable journey through genres, stories, and formats — each project a new opportunity to connect with audiences through film. I’m excited to see where this journey will lead next, and I look forward to every new challenge that lies ahead.
